Honor Ride

July 27, 2019

Tribute Ride for Fire Fighters & Police who have died in 2019 and veterans.

The ride begins in Fond du Lac and  will end in Coloma for dinner at the park.

Tribute Ride Ends in Coloma on July 27

The American Tribute Ride for those who answered the call will take place on Saturday, July 27 and it will be a big day for Coloma and Waushara County.  The ride begins at the Lamartine Fire Department in Fond du Lac County, winds its way through the state stopping in Markesan, Neshkoro and New Chester.   The ride honors those who have answered the call and have died in 2019:  fire fighters, police officers, and veterans. Four, three, and two wheels are invited.

Sponsorships are available and information can be found online at www.americantributeride.com.  New this year is a program to adopt a veteran for $10 which is the cost of the meal in Coloma and the ride organizers are hoping that all veterans will be able to eat free.

Coloma needs your help on July 27 at 5 pm.  The motorcycles and vehicles should be entering Coloma at that time and the village wants to line the streets with people waving flags and welcoming the riders. This is a great way to honor our veterans, fire, and police.  Flags will be available in Coloma for $2, or bring your own.  Everyone who welcomes our riders is invited to the park for the ceremony and dinner (cost is $10).   If you can’t make it to Coloma but can stand in your driveway or along the route, that would also be a great tribute.

Information about the ride and registration forms are found at the website.  For local information, please contact Erik Johnston at 715-347-0977.
